Brief

NCB is one of the largest banks in Saudi Arabia. They wanted to overhaul their consumer-facing website, their online banking website, their mobile and tablet apps, as well as their ATM machines. This was a comprehensive brief.

We were asked to ‘white label’ our services for the bank’s Dubai-based agency and received a tight two-month deadline to produce all UX documentation – wireframes, user journeys, sitemaps and experience specifications – for every aspect of the project.

The project required extensive and detailed research of users, financial products, stakeholder requirements, IT infrastructure, legal requirements and general challenges and trends in online banking.

Documentation
To work effectively with the Dubai project team, we switched to their work week: Sunday to Thursday. Over two months, we produced more than 1,000 pages of documentation detailing virtually every aspect of the project.

Outcomes

Having set out the site structure and features, we identified all templates and modules used within the site and produced a reference book for developers. This enabled them to develop templates and features in a modular way, and then ‘construct’ pages by plugging various modules into appropriate templates.They estimated that our module/template reference approach saved several thousands of hours during the development phase.Services and Technologies Delivered:
